Education, Learning & Fellows (ELF) School Committee

EDUCATION, LEARNING & FELLOWS (ELF) SCHOOL SUBCOMMITTEE

This subcommittee is focused on educational opportunities for APPES members, and others in the region.  The main remit is to deliver an online education series each year, an annual Fellows’ School and to respond to requests for CME meetings in member countries.

The online sessions, which started post-Covid lockdowns are designed to provide education to Fellows and others who are looking for further training in paediatric endocrinology.  Approximately 10 sessions are run each year across a variety of topics, with experts from across the globe invited to present.  For current program details, please refer to the WEBSITE.

The Fellows’ School is held annually, either as a stand alone meeting or in conjunction with the Scientific Meeting. The aim is to provide an interactive update in Paediatric Endocrinology for trainees who have substantially completed their Paediatric Endocrine training. The format is predominantly interactive, case-based discussions which are complemented by provision of lecture summaries and notes. Attendance is open to APPES members and travel sponsorship may be available. The faculty is composed of highly regarded clinicians and scientists from the region, complemented by invited international guests.
